Omega Security Engine Pro — Documentation
Version 1.0.0 Omega Web Apps omegawebapps.com
Omega Security Engine Pro provides a clean, powerful security dashboard that allows you to configure firewall rules, malware scanning, brute‑force protection, file monitoring, and hardening — all from one place.
3. Setup Guide
3.1 Step 1 — Open the Security Dashboard
After activation, navigate to Omega Security in the WordPress admin sidebar. This is your main control panel for all security features.
3.2 Step 2 — Enable the Firewall
Go to the Core Settings tab and enable the PHP Firewall. This activates early‑load protection that blocks malicious requests before WordPress loads.
3.3 Step 3 — Configure Login Protection
Still in Core Settings, enable:
- Limit login attempts
- Set Max attempts (recommended: 5)
- Set Lockout minutes (recommended: 30)
This blocks abusive IPs automatically during brute‑force attacks.
3.4 Step 4 — Apply Hardening Rules
Go to the Hardening tab and enable:
- Disable XML‑RPC
- Restrict REST API to logged‑in users (optional)
- Disable user enumeration
- Disable theme & plugin editor
3.5 Step 5 — Run a File Integrity Scan
Go to the File Monitor tab and click Run Scan Now. This creates your first snapshot and detects any modified, added, or removed files.
3.6 Step 6 — Run a Malware Scan
Go to the Malware Scanner tab and click Run Malware Scan. The engine scans PHP files for suspicious patterns, obfuscation, and known malware signatures.
3.7 Step 7 — Review Logs
Go to the Security Logs tab to review:
- Firewall blocks
- Login attempts
- Suspicious requests
- User agents
- IP activity
3.8 Step 8 — Manage Blocked IPs
Go to the Blocked IPs tab to manually block or unblock IP addresses. Automatic blocks from the firewall and login guard also appear here.
