COMMERCIAL & OPERATIONAL POLICIES · VERSION 3.0
Support, security, acceptable-use, communications and product-operation policies.
This page supplements the Terms & Licence, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. It is not intended to override mandatory law or an applicable open-source licence.
1. Product sales policy
Ten products are sold separately: five Pure HTML v2.0.1 engines and five WordPress v2.0.0 plugins. Standard pricing is US$89 per product, one-time, with a lifetime licence for the purchased version and unlimited sites under the Terms & Licence.
2. Support policy
Support covers reasonable help with documented installation, configuration and reproducible product defects. Custom development, third-party repair, server administration, SEO consulting, accessibility certification, emergency incident response and guaranteed performance tuning are separate work unless expressly agreed.
3. Update/version policy
Continued use of the purchased version is licensed according to the applicable terms. Future major versions are not automatically promised without charge. Current versioned documentation/package information takes precedence over historical posts.
4. Security disclosure policy
Report suspected vulnerabilities privately to support@omegawebapps.com. Do not access data that is not yours, perform destructive testing, denial-of-service, social engineering or test customer systems without authorisation. Include enough detail to reproduce the issue without publishing exploitation instructions before reasonable investigation.
5. Defensive-use policy
Security Engine functionality is intended only for systems the operator owns or is authorised to administer. IP, scanner, firewall or hardening features do not authorise probing/attacking third-party systems.
6. Diagnostic-evidence policy
Metrics scores, malware indicators, SEO audits and performance findings guide administrator decisions. They are not guarantees. Use browser field/lab testing, manual review, security expertise and accessibility/assistive-technology testing appropriate to the risk.
7. Compatibility policy
Published requirements describe supported baselines but cannot enumerate every combination of host, browser, WordPress release, theme, plugin, builder, cache/CDN, server module or integration. Backups/staging remain part of responsible deployment.
8. Backup/change-management policy
Maintain independent hosting/database backups before installing or applying changes. Product-specific backup/restore functions are additional safeguards and are not a substitute for a complete disaster-recovery strategy.
9. Intellectual-property and branding policy
Applicable open-source licences control covered code. OmegaWebApps trademarks, logos, product artwork, documentation, website copy and separately protected material may not be used to falsely imply ownership, sponsorship or affiliation.
10. Reviews/testimonials
We welcome genuine feedback and do not require a positive review as a condition of receiving statutory remedies. Testimonials should not be fabricated and may be edited only for length/clarity without materially changing meaning.
11. Website acceptable use
Do not misuse forms, checkout, downloads, support or infrastructure; attempt unauthorised access; distribute malware; engage in fraud/impersonation; interfere with service availability; or use the site in breach of applicable law.
12. Electronic communications
Where commercial marketing messages are sent with a New Zealand link, OmegaWebApps will use consent/other lawful basis and provide accurate sender identification and a functional unsubscribe mechanism as required by the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007. Transactional/security/support messages may still be sent where necessary for their purpose.
13. Accessibility policy
We aim to maintain a usable responsive commercial site and to address identified accessibility issues. Automated static heuristics cannot certify complete accessibility conformance; manual and assistive-technology testing remain important.
14. Privacy/data-minimisation policy
We seek to handle personal information only where reasonably necessary for purchases, support, security, legal compliance and business administration. See the Privacy Policy for direct/indirect collection, overseas disclosures, retention, access/correction and complaints.
15. Fair-trading and substantiation policy
Commercial claims should not be misleading and factual claims should have reasonable grounds where substantiation is expected. Product limitations are published to avoid turning technical possibilities into guaranteed outcomes.
16. Policy hierarchy
Mandatory law controls where it cannot be excluded. Applicable open-source licences control covered code. Signed negotiated agreements control express commercial conflicts where lawful. The Terms & Licence controls general website/sale/licence matters; the Privacy and Refund policies control their respective subjects.
