Omega SEO Engine — Troubleshooting Guide
Omega Web Apps Unified SEO Automation Engine omegawebapps.com
This guide covers common issues and safe recovery steps when using Omega SEO Engine on production WordPress sites.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Metadata Not Updating
If metadata appears unchanged after activation:
- Clear plugin cache (WP Rocket, LiteSpeed, W3TC, etc.)
- Clear server cache (LiteSpeed, NGINX FastCGI)
- Clear CDN cache (Cloudflare, Bunny, Fastly)
- Test in an incognito window
Cached HTML is the most common reason metadata appears unchanged.
5.2 Duplicate Metadata Appearing
This happens when another SEO plugin is still active.
- Deactivate Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress, AIOSEO, or any plugin injecting metadata
- Clear all caches
- Reload the page and inspect the source
5.3 Missing OpenGraph or Twitter Cards
Check the following:
- Ensure no other plugin is overriding social metadata
- Clear all caches
- Verify using Facebook Debugger or Twitter Validator
5.4 Schema Not Showing in Google Tools
Google’s Rich Results Test may not show schema if:
- The page is cached with old metadata
- Another plugin is injecting conflicting schema
- Your theme outputs invalid markup
Try:
- Clearing all caches
- Deactivating other SEO or schema plugins
- Testing again in Rich Results Test
5.5 Wrong Canonical URLs
Canonical issues usually come from:
- Other SEO plugins still active
- Custom themes forcing their own canonical tags
Fix:
- Deactivate all SEO plugins
- Check your theme’s
header.phpfor hard‑coded canonicals
5.6 WooCommerce Metadata Missing
If product metadata is not appearing:
- Ensure WooCommerce is active
- Clear all caches
- Check for conflicting product SEO plugins
5.7 Social Sharing Shows Wrong Title or Image
Social platforms cache aggressively.
Fix:
- Use Facebook Sharing Debugger → “Scrape Again”
- Use Twitter Card Validator
- Clear CDN cache
5.8 Multilingual Metadata Issues
If using WPML or Polylang:
- Ensure translated content is published
- Clear all caches
- Disable SEO modules inside translation plugins
5.9 Theme Output Conflicts
Some themes inject their own metadata.
Fix:
- Disable theme SEO modules (if available)
- Remove hard‑coded metadata from
header.php
5.10 Safe Rollback
To instantly revert to your previous SEO output:
Deactivate the plugin.
Omega SEO Engine makes no database or file changes. Rollback is instant and safe.
