Install Omega Security Engine Pro

• Create a current backup appropriate to the site before installing or making production changes.
• WordPress 6.0+.
• PHP 7.4+.
• Write access to wp-content/omega-security-engine-data.
• Apache-compatible .htaccess behavior for managed file-based hardening rules where used.

1. Back up the WordPress files/database.
2. Upload the commercial plugin ZIP through Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin, or install it using an equivalent trusted administrator workflow.
3. Activate the plugin while logged in with an administrator account that has the required capability.
4. Open the Omega product dashboard in wp-admin and review Status/Settings before enabling higher-impact controls.
5. Complete the product-specific setup workflow and test representative frontend/admin functions.

• Review firewall, IP handling and login-guard settings before enabling stronger controls.
• Only trust proxy headers when the hosting/CDN proxy path is known and explicitly configured.
• Create or refresh the File Integrity baseline before relying on later change reports.
• Treat malware scan results as indicators for administrator review; the plugin does not automatically delete files.

Do not treat installation as proof of compatibility

No WordPress security plugin can guarantee prevention/detection of every attack. Server/WAF/CDN/hosting security remains part of the overall security model. CSP/HSTS/REST/proxy settings are environment-sensitive and must be tested before production use.
