Install Omega Performance Engine Pro

• Create a current backup appropriate to the site before installing or making production changes.
• PHP 8.1+ recommended.
• Write access to protected engine state/backups and to HTML files being transformed.
• Apache/LiteSpeed for managed .htaccess compression/cache/keep-alive rules.
• Nginx requires equivalent server rules configured outside .htaccess.

1. Extract at public_html and open /omega-performance-engine/.
2. Open the private Omega administration URL and create the first administrator account.
3. Confirm protected data/log paths are writable and private from public execution where applicable.
4. Open the engine Status/Settings area and verify the server capabilities required by this product.
5. Complete the product-specific setup workflow before applying high-impact changes.

• Start in Conservative mode and run the read-only Full Site Preview before applying anything.
• Review each planned file transformation and server-rule change before Apply.
• After Conservative testing, move to Balanced only if guarded script deferral is appropriate.
• Maintain a safelist for sensitive scripts such as checkout, payment, analytics, CAPTCHA or site-specific dependencies when needed.

Do not treat installation as proof of compatibility

No optimization engine can guarantee a specific Lighthouse/Core Web Vitals score because browser, hosting, network, third-party scripts and layout remain material. Nginx ignores .htaccess; server-delivery rules must be translated manually. Aggressive removal options require testing because copied CMS assets may still be required by site-specific markup.
