Install Omega Security Engine Pro

• Create a current backup appropriate to the site before installing or making production changes.
• PHP 8.1+ recommended.
• Write access to protected engine data, logs, vault and backup areas.
• Apache/LiteSpeed for included .htaccess request/header protections.
• Nginx requires equivalent server configuration for request blocking/header rules.

1. Extract at public_html and open /omega-security-engine/.
2. Open the private Omega administration URL and create the first administrator account.
3. Confirm protected data/log paths are writable and private from public execution where applicable.
4. Open the engine Status/Settings area and verify the server capabilities required by this product.
5. Complete the product-specific setup workflow before applying high-impact changes.

• Create the dedicated Omega administrator and secure the private engine area before scanning.
• Review Hardening before applying or refreshing .htaccess rules.
• Establish a trusted File Integrity baseline before using later scans to detect changes.
• Use Quick scans for routine review and Full/single-file scans when deeper evidence is required.

Do not treat installation as proof of compatibility

No security scanner can guarantee detection of every threat or prove a finding is malicious without review. Nginx ignores .htaccess; equivalent hardening rules require server configuration. Email DNS audits depend on publicly resolvable DNS records and correct domain/selector configuration.
