Configure Omega Security Engine Pro

Recommended setup and production configuration workflow for Omega Security Engine Pro Pure HTML 2.0.1.

Recommended configuration order

Configure the engine in a staged order so evidence and safety checks come before high-impact operations.

  1. Create the dedicated Omega administrator and secure the private engine area before scanning.
  2. Review Hardening before applying or refreshing .htaccess rules.
  3. Establish a trusted File Integrity baseline before using later scans to detect changes.
  4. Use Quick scans for routine review and Full/single-file scans when deeper evidence is required.
  5. Review scanner findings before quarantine; findings are indicators, not automatic proof of malware.
  6. Use File, Malware and Virus Vault restore/mark-safe/delete actions deliberately.
  7. Maintain IP allow/block entries carefully and review security logs after changes.
  8. Use SPF/DMARC/DKIM audits as DNS evidence and verify selectors/domain configuration separately.

Full operating workflow

  1. Extract at public_html and open /omega-security-engine/.
  2. Create the dedicated Omega administrator.
  3. Review Hardening and apply/refresh protection rules appropriate to the server.
  4. Run File Integrity once to establish the trusted baseline.
  5. Run Quick scans first, then Full or single-file scans as needed.
  6. Review every finding before quarantine.
  7. Use File/Malware/Virus Vault controls for restore, mark-safe or deletion decisions.
  8. Manage IP allow/block lists where required.
  9. Review security logs and the runtime, URL, message/browser and DNS audits.

Production safety checklist

After configuration, test the pages, forms, checkout/payment flows, authentication, media, scripts/styles and integrations that matter to the site. Use staging where practical for higher-risk changes.
